Summary of the

Job:

To ensure product quality throughout the packing and shipping operations throughout the facility. Responsible for ensuring the quality of our pears. Day-to-day work involves careful inspections and the enforcement of quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Gather crop data from Field Representatives
• Communicate with Sales team on product quality
• Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data
• Be aware of inventory and location of inventory
• Implement methods to inspect, test and evaluate products
• Ensure products adhere to quality standards
• Perform and oversee detailed and recorded inspections of products in process and final products so the products are up to industry and company standards prior to shipment
• Document and report product quality levels
• Develop and implement standards for inspection
• Develop a workflow for product inspection from receiving to shipping
• Work with Presize and Packaging to ensure quality standards are understood and met
• Communicate with other team members to solve problems
• Follow up with the appropriate channels when mistakes are found
• Train and oversee other quality assurance members on all inspection processes
• Other duties as assigned
• Minimum High School Degree or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of experience in quality assurance
• A keen eye for detail
• Communication skills
• Computer literacy
• Database management
• The ability to closely follow quality standards
• Decision-making skills
• Excellent English oral and written communication skills
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish strongly preferred This job supervises other QC tasks.

Full-time Pay:

$25.30 - $28.40 per hour
