The QA Metrologist is a key position in our Manufacturing Organization whose primary responsibility will be to perform and report on first article and first piece inspections. May also be required to assist in problem solving part issues in manufacturing where compliance to print is called into question.

This position will be based onsite at our Milwaukie, OR facility. This job opening is not eligible for immigration/work visa sponsorship.
Responsibilities:
Prepare for and accurately and completely perform first article and first piece inspections. Generate the first article and first piece inspection reports and submit to Engineering for review and approval. Maintain inspection inventory to comply with inventory dollar and cycle time goals. Assist manufacturing problem solving by performing inspections on selected parts and reporting findings back to requestor. Update inspection logs with the current status of inspections. May be required to operate overhead cranes, jib hoists, forklifts, and other lifting devices safely and properly. Onsite training and certification required prior to operation. Perform other tasks and duties as assigned. The compensation for this position is between $60,000 and $63,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. This range reflects our commitment to fair pay based on skills, experience, and market standards.
Knowledge/Education:
High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a metrologist performing and documenting inspections. Experience in a machine shop environment is a plus. Familiarity with AS9102 inspection requirements is a plus. Experience using PCDMIS software (Hexagon Metrology) is a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
Skilled in using calibrated tools (calipers, micrometers, air gauges, Go/NoGo gauges). Capable of performing inspections with stationary or portable CMMs. Able to plan inspections and select appropriate measurement tools. Familiar with bubbling and reporting software; InspectionXpert experience a plus. Proficient in MS Office. Strong print/drawing interpretation skills. Excellent communication, teamwork, organization, and problemsolving skills. Detail-oriented with good manual dexterity. Selfmotivated, resultsdriven, and effective in fastpaced environments.
