To spend most of their time on the receiving dock, assuring only quality products is received into the warehouse system. Verify and inspect incoming loads for the following: codes, temperature, packaging, quality (free of mold, damage, infestation, discoloration, etc.), and weight verification, download and save Temp Tales. Additionally, they are to report any product violations to QA and when requested, investigate and reply to Product Complaint issues generated by Product Complaint Database. Ensure only quality, safe products are distributed. Responsibilities Conduct detailed inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and vision inspection systems. Utilize advanced quality systems and tools including Calypso software and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to document measurements and analyze data. Perform quality audits in accordance with
ISO 13485, ISO 9001, FDA
regulations, and HACCP standards to ensure compliance across manufacturing processes. Collect and analyze data related to product dimensions, tolerances, and defect rates to identify trends and areas for improvement. Support manufacturing teams by providing real-time feedback on quality issues and assisting in root cause analysis. Maintain accurate records of inspections, non-conformances, and corrective actions following CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) guidelines. Participate in internal and external quality audits to verify adherence to quality management systems. Assist in calibration of measurement instruments and ensure calibration records are up-to-date. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements based on inspection findings. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold quality standards throughout the production cycle. Experience Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on quality control or quality assurance. Familiarity with industry standards such as
ISO 13485, ISO 9001, FDA
regulations, HACCP, and CGMP. Hands-on experience using precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, vision inspection systems, and coordinate measuring machines. Knowledge of quality management principles and systems (QA/QC), including conducting quality audits. Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret measurement data accurately. Experience working within regulated environments requiring strict compliance with quality standards. Prior exposure to Calypso software or similar quality data collection tools is advantageous.
