Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time Quality Engineer to work in our Canonsburg, PA, office location. The hours are Monday and Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. This position will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered an Exempt employee.
Job Description:
Interacting with customers, suppliers, and subcontractor, and other Aquatech disciplines such as engineering, procurement, and project execution.
  • Compiling quality-related procedures and documents.
  • Participating and performing both internal and external quality audits.

Skill Requirements:
Able to read and interpret contract documents, technical specifications, and manufacturing drawings. Strong familiarity with manufacturing and quality-related standards and specifications is a must.
  • Must be proficient in the use of computers and administrative software such as Word, Excel, and PPT.
  • Familiarity with mechanical installation, manufacturing,g and welding processes is essential.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and general quality system requirements.
  • Familiarity with the review and implementation of detailed contract quality standards and specifications.
  • Working knowledge of various manufacturing codes, standards, and specifications (ASME B&PV Code, AWS
D1.1, ANSI B31.1, ANSI B31.3
)
  • Familiarity with basic painting/coating inspection requirements and techniques.
Computer literate (MS Word, Excel & Outlook) Ability to use a computer

Physical Job Demands:
Lifting/carrying/moving 50 lbs, may need to climb ladders, cannot be afraid of heights, and will need to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while on site. Involves sitting at a desk for extended periods. Needs a high degree of concentration in a busy area.
Qualifications / Experience
High school graduate or technical, or quality-related higher education is preferred. Ten (10) years of related experience is required. A current CWI certification is preferred. NDE experience is a plus. Current or previous certifications in concrete, soils, and geotechnical testing are a plus.
