JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Inspector I tests and inspects in process materials as well as finished product.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Test, inspect, package and label in process and finished products as designated. Perform visual inspection as per customer requirement and/or per Nordson MEDICAL standard. Communicate (if any) required adjustment to production operators and supervisor based on measurement tests and visual inspection results. Document inspection results into quality database according to procedures and work instructions. Perform Melt Flow testing as designated. Test and inspect incoming raw materials as designated. Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions, report any non-working or out of calibration equipment to Quality supervision or compliance coordinator. Assist with training for new and/or existing Quality Inspectors. Perform other duties as required by quality management including but not limited to rework, filing, special testing etc. Verify labels and documentation as designated. Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Ability to read and document required specs and measurements.SKILLS & ABILITIES
Experience in Quality System Management, preferred. Experience in manual and computer-based documentation control and development. Ability to communicate well in person, in writing, and by telephone with customers and other company personnel. Ability to read small print and to see at normal distances. Ability to write clearly and legibly.WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
