QUALITY ASSURANCE
SPECIALIST, GS-1910-09, you will develop the AASF Quality Management Plan (QMP) th documents the management and operional policies and procedures to ensure work processes, products, or services sisfy expections and quality standards. Develop quality assessment plans to evalue and improve quality of maintenance production and work processes. Develop local regulions and/or opering instructions for implemention of the quality assurance and reliability program and ensures compliance with procedures. Serve as quality assurance authority in the AASF. Maintain the AASF master library. Monitor the AASF publicion improvement system to include the recommended changes to publicions and blank forms (DA Form 2028) and merial deficiency, and Quality Deficiency Reports (QDR). Manage the Safety-of-Flight (SOF) and Aviion Safety Action Message (ASAM) programs to ensure effective and timely accomplishment. Monitor aircraft acceptance/transfer inspections, aircraft configurions, and component time-change requirements. Manage the weight and balance program. Perform command directed quality inspections and special inspections for all aspects of aircraft and associed equipment. Perform inspections of maintenance shops for safety and condition of equipment. Monitor calibrion of shop and test equipment to ensure serviceability. Investige equipment failure trends on aircraft airframes and components and systems. Incumbent is required to wear approprie protective clothing or gear such as safety glasses, ear protection, and hard-h, and observe all safety precautions when accomplishing inspections. Conduct formal training of quality assurance and quality compliance principles, procedures, techniques, and skills. Review and evalue quality compliance inspections performed by production units. Audits the inspection process and methods, analyzes inspection reports, and re-inspects samples of inspections performed. Serve as the primary point of contact (POC) to, and provide liaison services between, the AASF and external organizions regarding QA mters. Serve as the Contracting Officer Representive (COR) for a life cycle contractor support aircraft maintenance contract to ensure contract compliance with written procedures as required. GENERAL EXPERIENCE
: Experience, educion, or training involving planning, developing, or administering quality assurance programs (i.e., supporting the development, acquisition, production, use, maintenance, storage, and supply of products concerned with the systemic prevention of defects and non-conformances, the identificion of unsisfactory trends and conditions, and the correction of factors which may contribute to defective items). Experience using computer and automion systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
: Applicion must indice least 24 months experience, educion, or training, involving principles, techniques and accepted practices of quality assurance work (i.e., the applicion of stistical sampling techniques sufficient to perform assignments or preparion of technical reports on quality levels to identify specific problems). Experience in the applicion and theory of specializion using applicable publicions and experience in the preparion of technical reports on quality levels to identify specific problem areas and to recommend corrective action.
