Job Description

Sloan Lubrication Systems is a 4th generation family business. We design, manufacture, and install lubrication systems for multiple industries with a focus on natural gas compression, refining, and rotating machinery. Job Overview Join our team as a Quality Assurance Intern and immerse yourself in the world of quality management! In this paid internship, you will gain hands-on experience supporting quality assurance processes across manufacturing operations. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring products meet the highest standards. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in quality systems and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that drive excellence. Responsibilities Inspect materials received, in-process, and final products, as well as shipping documents and packaging to ensure conformance with specifications Conduct dimensional inspection verifications per design record and documented AQL level Conduct visual inspections for defects and nonconformities Quarantine non-conforming parts/materials Report any nonconformities to QA Manager Document and monitor inspection records Enter quality data into the quality management system Maintain clean work environment Follow safety rules and works in a safe manner Other duties as assigned Qualifications Ability to read and understand production drawings (mechanical and electrical), work instructions and procedures Ability to read and understand specifications and recognize non-conformances Hands-on experience using various gauges, including but not limited to calipers; micrometers; height, depth and pin gauges; go/no go gauges Experience with Microsoft Office Must be detail-oriented Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly to manufacturing and QA personnel Prior experience in Quality is preferred, or candidate must be enrolled or completed a relevant college degree program.
