As the largest designer and manufacturer of Oxygen Lances in North America, we support customers with advanced products, repair services, and technical expertise to ensure optimal performance and reliability.Position Overview:
The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing dimensional and visual inspections of machined and welded products. Using various inspection tools, this role ensures parts meet engineering drawings and standard acceptance criteria. The position supports production through timely in-process and final inspections, documentation of results, and escalation of issues to maintain product quality in alignment withISO 9001
standards.Key Responsibilities:
Conduct in-process and final inspections of manufactured items Complete and report inspection documentation, detailing acceptance or rejection to the production team Document non-conformances and defects and collaborate with production to resolve issues Guide employees when quality standards are not met Maintain organized and accurate quality control and inspection records for retention and traceability Participate in corrective action and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and production efficiency Create and distribute customer quality certificates as needed Develop, update, and revise work instructions as needed Perform other duties as assigned by managementRequirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required 0-3 years of experience in a metals or steel manufacturing environment Experience with dimensional inspections and visual verification of machined and welded components Proficiency with computers, email, Excel, Word, and Windows-based systems Experience using micrometers, scales, squares, tape measures, thread gauges, weld gauges, and ID/OD micrometersSkills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail and accuracy in inspection documentation and quality records Ability to follow established inspection processes and procedures Reliable and consistent in performing daily tasksAlternate Job Titles:
