Job Description

Overview We are looking for dependable, detail-oriented individuals to join our Quality team as a Quality Inspector / Packer in our injection molding facility. In this role, you'll help ensure that only quality-approved products move through production and are packaged correctly for shipment. You'll be responsible for inspecting molded plastic parts, identifying defects, documenting quality information, and packaging finished products according to customer requirements. No prior manufacturing or quality experience is required. We provide hands-on training and ongoing support to help you succeed. This is an active position that requires standing, walking, and moving throughout the shift. Schedule 2nd Shift Monday - Friday 2:45 PM - 11:15 PM What You'll Do Quality Inspection Collect product samples from assigned production presses throughout the shift Inspect molded plastic parts for quality defects, including: Flash (excess plastic) Short shots (incomplete fills) Sink marks Burns Warping Contamination Surface imperfections Use microscopes and inspection equipment to evaluate product quality Follow established inspection procedures and quality standards Report defects or quality concerns to Supervisors and Quality personnel Help contain and separate non-conforming material when issues are identified Documentation & Quality Tracking Record inspection results and production information accurately Use company software systems (IQMS / RealTime) to enter quality and production data Assist with inventory transactions, reject documentation, and quality records Maintain traceability and proper identification of products and materials Packaging & Labeling Count and package approved parts according to work instructions Operate counting scales and enter piece-weight information Print and apply product labels Verify part numbers, quantities, and packaging information before staging Prepare boxes and packaging materials for production use Organize completed product for shipment Team Communication Work closely with Inspectors, Packers, Production Operators, Shipping, and Supervisors Communicate quality concerns and production issues promptly Support efficient product flow throughout the facility What We're Looking For No previous experience required — training provided Strong attention to detail Ability to identify defects and inconsistencies Dependable attendance and punctuality Ability to follow procedures and work instructions Good communication and teamwork skills Basic math skills for counting and quantity verification Basic computer skills and ability to enter information into production systems Willingness to learn quality inspection and manufacturing processes Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift Frequent use of hands and arms Repetitive inspection and packaging tasks Ability to lift, move, and handle materials as needed Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment What Makes Someone Successful in This Role?
