The Roadway Programs Technician 1 with the Department of Transportation plays an important part in supporting daily maintenance planning and coordinating important information that keeps projects on track. This role helps monitor operations, organize materials, and support staff throughout the county. Your work will help ensure that roadways remain safe and well maintained. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, attentive, and eager to make a positive impact.DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position supports maintenance planning, data review, and field operations to ensure smooth and efficient roadway programs. It helps monitor resources, track work activities, and provide assistance in both office and field environments. As a Roadway Programs Technician 1, you will perform the following duties:Program Support:
Maintain the Adopt A Highway program and track group participation and supply needsPlan Review:
Analyze work plans and assist with adjustments to ensure balanced use of labor, materials, and equipmentData Analysis:
Review SAP and Roadway Management Systems data to verify progress toward goalsField Monitoring:
Assist with field reviews to observe maintenance operations and gather information for work standardsInventory Oversight:
Help manage materials, storage, and recordkeeping in SAP and ensure accurate stock levelsAccident Review:

Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.Telework:

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year of experience as a Technical Assistant (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or One year of experience in analysis of data utilized in planning and scheduling of work, materials and equipment and graduation from high school or GED equivalent; or An Associate's Degree in a field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Highway Engineering Technology or other closely related program; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.Other Requirements:
