Job Description

The Quality Control Technician is responsible for inspecting, testing, and verifying that custom-manufactured metal coil springs and wire form products meet customer specifications and quality standards. This role utilizes manual and automated measurement equipment to collect dimensional and mechanical data, evaluate product compliance, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The position plays a critical role in maintaining product quality, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction across industries including Aerospace, Military, Medical, Electrical, Nuclear, Life Science, and Industrial Equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Use manual and programmable measurement equipment to collect dimensional and mechanical data Inspect manufactured products to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality requirements Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering documentation Operate and program automated testing and measurement systems Apply geometric principles and calculations to determine inferred specifications and product compliance Utilize precision measuring instruments while maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail Create and maintain compliance documentation, certification records, data sheets, and analysis reports Support quality assurance activities through accurate recordkeeping and reporting Participate in the
ISO 9001
Quality Management System by following established procedures and requirements Conduct internal audits and assist with quality system compliance initiatives Investigate product failures, non-conformances, and quality concerns Support continuous improvement efforts through process evaluation and corrective actions Develop, revise, and improve quality procedures and inspection processes as needed Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment Follow all company safety policies and quality standards
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required Prior experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, or quality assurance preferred but not required Experience using precision measuring instruments preferred Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications required Strong mechanical aptitude required Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred Familiarity with
ISO 9001
quality systems preferred
Special Requirements:
Successful completion of a drug test and background check required Ability to work with high-precision measurement equipment Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a manufacturing environment Willingness to learn and operate automated testing systems Ability to participate in the temporary-to-hire evaluation process during the first 500 work hours
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities Ability to read and understand technical drawings and engineering specifications Knowledge of dimensional measurement techniques and inspection processes Proficiency with precision measuring tools and testing equipment Understanding of geometric principles and measurement calculations Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to create organized documentation, reports, and spreadsheets Knowledge of quality standards and compliance requirements Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational and time management skills Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement

Work Environment:
This position operates in a manufacturing environment where employees work with precision measuring instruments, automated testing equipment, and custom-manufactured metal spring products. The role requires regular interaction with production personnel, engineering staff, and quality team members. Employees must maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace while adhering to quality and safety standards.
