Quality Manager/Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)

• Structural Steel Fabrication Responsibilities Lead and maintain the company's Quality Management System in compliance with AISC Serve as the primary QA/QC authority across all fabrication projects and production operations Perform and oversee visual, dimensional, ultrasonic (UT), and magnetic particle (MT) inspection Interpret NDT results and make accept/reject quality decisions Coordinate and manage third-party inspection vendors, including radiographic testing providers Maintain welder qualifications, continuity logs, WPS/PQR documentation, and material records Identify quality concerns proactively and partner with production teams to reduce defects Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions Standardize inspection procedures, reporting, and documentation practices Support the transition from paper-based quality processes to digital workflows Quality Manager/Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)•Structural Steel Fabrication Qualifications AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required 5+ years of QA/QC experience within structural steel fabrication required Experience working in an AISC-certified fabrication environment required Experience supporting bridge projects and/or fracture-critical structural steel work required Hands-on experience performing and interpreting NDT inspections required About #twiceasnice Recruiting Across industries, roles, and North America, we help clients quickly attract top talent with custom-built searches.
