Full job description Field Technician I - Construction Materials Testing ACA Engineering Inc. is looking for a Field CMT Technician to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA.

Ability to grow with the Company with opportunity for growth/advancement Day to day variety of work Ability to work on both small and large projects Increased pay for certifications Technical training provided to grow career in Building & Construction industry What you'll do: Perform a variety of tests on construction materials including asphalt, soil and concrete using materials-testing equipment Perform field compaction testing and monitor paving operations Read construction documents to determine project details and specifications Neatly and accurately complete all required paperwork, including daily reports, test reports and timesheets - in a timely manner Record and report test results after performing mathematical calculations Communicate orally and in writing with engineers and staff members, agency representatives, contractors and business and property owners Perform maintenance/cleaning of equipment and calibration and adjustments as need Adhere to construction site safety guidelines and promotes a safe working environment What it takes to be successful in this role: H.S. Diploma or Equivalent No Experience Required - we offer in-house training and opportunity for advancement commensurate with performance The following certifications are highly preferred , but not required: ACI Concrete Grade I Nuclear Gauge Safety Concrete, Soils, or Asphalt certifications (will compensate for certifications to a dedicated candidate) Must have Basic Math, Calculator, and Computer Skills Comfortable using MS Office applications (Word/Excel/Outlook) Must be punctual & reliable with good attention to detail Must be able to read and understand work plans Must be able to work off shifts and overtime
Valid Driver's License Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, move, push, and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently. Occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication (usually over the phone) Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions (hot and cold) Ability to climb occasionally What we have to offer: When Working with ACA Engineering Inc., you can expect hourly pay and benefit package competitively placed within the local market, including medical, dental, vision, disability, 401(k) with company match and more.
