QA LAB TECHNICIAN
Quality Assurance & Food Safety JBS- Souderton, Pennsylvania Reports to:
Quality Assurance Manager Hours:
3:30am-12pm, M-F, occasional Saturdays Duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Performing quantitative analytical lab procedures to determine the quality and lab analysis of industrial waste water Proactive attitude toward workplace safety at all times Ability to perform data entry, experience with Microsoft Office i.e.: Excel, Outlook, Word Basic understanding of safe handling, storage, and respect for chemicals Proper sampling and testing methods for validation as necessary Understanding preservation chain of custody Maintain a clean work environment Ability to multitask with attention to detail and organization Tracking and reporting of chemical and supply inventories Generating certificates of analysis as directed by the Quality Assurance Manager Willingness to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with team members Occasional overtime and Saturday work as needed Position requirements: Work experience: The incumbent ideally should have 1 or more years' experience working in a laboratory setting Quality work—strong ability to maintain quality work, precision and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team to reach common goals, self-motivated, adaptability and a positive attitude The Ideal Candidate would possess: Hands-on experience with analytical techniques Ability to monitor and comply with SOPs and CGMPs Understanding of FSMA and HACCP principles Ability to learn new techniques and perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions and comply with company policies Excellent communication (oral and written) with attention to detail Flexible and adaptable, working collaboratively in cross-functional teams
