Ensinger processes high performance and engineering plastics at our North American headquarters in North Strabane Township. As a Quality Lab Technician , you will be an integral part of a team responsible for Ensinger's safe, productive extrusion operations. Summary As a Quality team member, you will have the opportunity to support and advance Ensinger's value proposition, while inspecting, validating and certifying our products and applications to an expanding market. Key Responsibilities
  • Promote safe work practices and demonstrate a zero tolerance for non-compliance with sage work practices, policies and regulations
  • Performing final inspection of finished goods 1. Completing visual inspection, verifying dimensions and physical attributes 2. Verifying product code and ensuring traceability
  • Completing product certifications 1. Verifying ASTM callouts 2. Verifying customer specifications 3. Verifying lot and batch traceability 4. Issuing non-conformance report, when warranted
  • Preparing - dimensional stability test specimens o Safely operating band saw, milling machine, router and notcher
  • Performing material testing o Performing the following testing: tensile, flexural, compression, shear, izod impact, hardness (Rockwell, shore d), specific gravity, melt flow, differential scanning calorimetry and relative viscosity
  • Managing test schedule o Schedule and prioritize customer, R D, and internal testing
  • Completing quality data reporting
  • Inspecting incoming resin
  • Calibrating equipment Qualifications Associates degree Successful work experience working in a Quality or Laboratory environment and/or hold an applicable quality certification, required Must be detail oriented Demonstrated mechanical skills Creative thinker, continuous learner, and problem solver who is self-motivated Experience in a Continuous Improvement Program, preferred Experience working with Microsoft Office Interest in obtaining certifications as deemed necessary Additional Information For additional information about Ensinger, please see our website: www.
