Job Description

C-P Flexible Packaging is now hiring Day Shift Quality Technician Base schedule is 1st shift, MUST cover 12 hour shifts as needed. Weekend availability required $22/hour to start (DOE)

Responsible for monitoring processes and product food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process. Responsible for the correct documentation and filing of all relevant record logs and Documentation. Ensures the correct recipe guidelines for products are met during processing. Ensures employees are following all Food Safety and worker safety practices. Ensures and educates employees on quality expectations. Collect product samples for the Quality lab. Perform inspections on in-process printing to ensure quality and accuracy of the print according to customer specifications. Identifying non-conformances and ensuring they are corrected "real time" when feasible. Working directly with Operations on the presses, slitter, lamination, etc. to identify areas for continuous improvement. Ensuring paperwork is accurate and filled out in a timely manner on the production lines. The above duties and responsibilities are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.
Qualifications:
Preferred 1-2 years' experience in printing, food, or regulated industry with knowledge of GMP's (21CFR 110/111/210/211). Proficiency in Microsoft Office package software is essential. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Excellent time management skills. Excellent attention to detail is essential. Other knowledge, skills, and abilities: Self-motivated with proven leadership skills. Prior experience in food environment a plus. Must be able to work in a team environment. Ability to work effectively under pressure, and in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment.
Flexible availability:
we work night and weekend shifts. Ability to work well in a team environment. Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and be able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. Must be able to make immediate decisions on disposition. Must be dependable and work within Company conduct standards; consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction, and solicits feedback to improve performance.
Physical Demands:
Able to lift to 50-80 lbs. Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time Bending, reaching, twisting, and climbing ladders Ability to work with high temperature materials Ability to work with chemicals for cleaning
