Job Description:
This position involves ensuring the calibration of inspection tools and equipment, maintaining compliance through internal audits, and leading external audits. You will process customer complaints and warranty claims, assist production with non-conforming products, and aid the Quality Manager in developing Standard Operating Procedures. Additionally, you'll prepare and assist with PPAP documentation, organize Management Review meetings, monitor quality systems, and initiate corrective actions using structured problem-solving methods.
Responsibilities:
Perform calibration of inspection tools and equipment. Ensure compliance through internal audits and lead external audits. Process customer complaints and warranty claims. Assist production in disposition of non-conforming products. Develop Standard Operating Procedures with the Quality Manager. Prepare and assist Production with PPAP documentation and submissions. Schedule, organize, and prepare for Management Review meetings. Monitor quality systems and maintain statistical programs. Initiate corrective/preventative actions using structured problem-solving methods. Assist in employee training and recurrent personnel qualifications. Resolve supplier quality issues. Participate in contract reviews. Assist in inspection activities and release of customer orders. Organize and control technical documentation including blueprints and databases.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Experience with inspecting weldments and familiarity of welding processes. Proficiency in quality control and blueprint reading. Familiarity with Faro Arm technology. Understanding of
ISO 9001
standards. Drawing interpretation and basic understanding of GD&T.

Work Environment:
The role is hybrid, involving both office work and shop floor duties where PPE is required. You will encounter exposure to loud noises. Working hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, mainly in Bettendorf, with occasional travel to Orion. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bettendorf, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $29.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
