Job Title:
Quality Assurance Analyst Job Description The Quality Assurance Analyst supports food safety and quality assurance initiatives by combining data analysis, food safety expertise, and technology to improve restaurant operations and protect consumer safety at scale. This role operates at the intersection of food safety, quality systems, and analytics, contributing to the development and enhancement of FSQA (Food Safety and Quality Assurance) programs. As the FSQA analytics function grows, the analyst will have the opportunity to expand their scope, increase their ownership of projects, and influence key decisions that impact operational performance and compliance. Responsibilities Analyze food safety and quality data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement across restaurant and food service operations. Support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of food safety and quality assurance programs, ensuring alignment with internal standards and regulatory requirements. Use AI-enabled analytics, LIMS, or automated compliance tools to monitor performance, generate insights, and support data-driven decision-making. Collaborate with FSQA, operations, and field teams to interpret analytical findings and translate them into practical actions and process improvements. Assist in the implementation and ongoing management of quality systems, including documentation, reporting, and continuous improvement activities. Contribute to the design and execution of analytics projects that support restaurant operations and consumer safety initiatives. Prepare clear reports, dashboards, and presentations that communicate food safety and quality metrics to stakeholders. Support the FSQA Manager and Director with analytics, compliance tracking, and other quality assurance tasks as needed. Apply knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety practices to evaluate processes and support preventive controls. Participate in cross-functional meetings and collaborations to ensure consistent execution of food safety and quality standards across locations. Essential Skills Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets related to food safety and quality. Knowledge of food safety principles and practices, including HACCP. Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline such as Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field. Experience within food service, food manufacturing, or restaurant environments. Quality assurance experience in a food-related context. Tech-savvy mindset with the ability to learn and use analytics and compliance tools. Exposure to quality systems and their implementation in operational settings. Hands-on experience with AI-enabled analytics, LIMS, or automated compliance tools. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to consumer safety and product quality. Effective communication skills for collaborating with FSQA, operations, and field teams. Additional Skills & Qualifications HACCP knowledge or certification is a plus. Experience working in cross-functional teams across FSQA, operations, and field organizations. Familiarity with business intelligence tools or reporting platforms used for analytics. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment. Interest in expanding responsibilities as the FSQA analytics function evolves. Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset. Work Environment This is a full-time hybrid role with core hours from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The position is primarily office-based, with Fridays designated as work-from-home. The Quality Assurance Analyst reports to the FSQA Manager and Director and works closely alongside two other analysts. The role involves regular collaboration with FSQA, operations, and field teams to support food safety and quality initiatives. The dress code is business casual, and the environment emphasizes teamwork, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement in food safety and quality performance. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Newport Beach, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
