Job Description

Quality Engineer (Contract) Wentzville, MO 63385 Apply Apply Description SUMMARY The Quality Engineer supports aerospace manufacturing operations by preparing certification documentation and reviewing product for shipment readiness. This role requires strong familiarity with Boeing quality standards and the ability to quickly integrate into an active production environment. The QE is detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of working independently to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. This is a short-term, 10-week onsite contract requiring immediate impact.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Prepare and compile certification packages to support product shipment Review completed parts, documentation, and records to ensure compliance with Boeing and customer requirements Verify accuracy and completeness of inspection reports, test data, and supporting documentation Ensure all required documentation is complete and aligned with applicable quality standards prior to shipment Coordinate with quality, manufacturing, and engineering teams to resolve documentation or compliance gaps Support final inspection and shipment release activities Identify and communicate discrepancies or non-conformances Maintain accurate records and ensure traceability of documentation Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to meet shipment deadlines Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE
Strong understanding of Boeing quality requirements and documentation standards Familiarity with aerospace quality systems and compliance requirements (e.g., AS9100) Knowledge of certification packages, test reports, and inspection documentation Understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control principles
COMPETENCIES
High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to quickly get up to speed in a new environment Strong organizational and document management skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Effective communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines Problem-solving mindset with a focus on quality and compliance
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent required Previous experience in a Quality Engineer or similar role within aerospace required Boeing program or Boeing-related experience required Experience preparing certification packages and supporting shipment readiness required High school diploma required; technical degree or equivalent experience preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS
Onsite role within an aerospace manufacturing facility (no remote work) Short-term contract (approximately 10 weeks) May require extended hours to support shipment schedules Combination of office and production floor environment Exposure to typical manufacturing conditions (noise, PPE requirements in designated areas) Share job details to
