For over 65 years, Briggs has supported construction teams and owners by ensuring projects are built in accordance with design plans, specifications, and quality standards. Now part of the Phenna Group, Briggs is a member of a global family of specialist Testing, Inspection, Certification, and Compliance (TICC) businesses. We are currently seeking experienced and entry-level Construction Materials Technicians to perform both field and laboratory testing. Construction Materials Technician Qualifications:
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 50 pounds Basic math skills and good communication abilities Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid Rhode Island driver's license Applicable certifications include:
ACI, ICC, PCI, CWI, NETTCP, and NICET Construction Materials Technician Responsibilities:
Perform sampling, testing, and monitoring of soil, concrete, masonry, asphalt, aggregate and rock on construction sites and in laboratory settings Perform physical testing in accordance with ASTM and AASHTO standards Follow all company safety standards and procedures Accurately enter test results and inspection data into electronic report templates Prepare clear, accurate testing and inspection reports Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, project stakeholders, laboratory staff and supervisors Briggs Engineering & Testing is an equal opportunity employer.
