Full-time Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Scrap Yard Operator to assist with the daily operations of a small-scale scrap yard. This role involves handling, sorting, and processing scrap materials, assisting customers, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Sort, separate, and organize various types of scrap metal and materials Operate basic equipment such as forklifts, loaders, or hand tools (training provided if needed) Assist customers with unloading materials and provide excellent customer service Weigh and record incoming and outgoing materials accurately Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines Perform general labor tasks as needed

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a scrapyard, recycling, or labor-related role is a plus Ability to lift heavy materials (50+ lbs) and work in outdoor conditions Basic mechanical skills are helpful Strong work ethic and reliability Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Skills:

Forklift or equipment operation experience Knowledge of different types of metals and recyclable materials Basic math and record-keeping skills
