Medical (PPO or HDHP options) including Prescription benefits, TeleHealth, and Employee Assistance Program Dental and Vision coverage 401(k) Company-paid Basic Life Insurance Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance Position Summary The Quality Assurance (QA) Technician tests, inspects, and approves products and samples throughout various stages of the production process. This role compiles and evaluates statistical data to ensure product quality, reliability, and compliance with specifications. The QA Technician may also assist in training new personnel. Key Responsibilities Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, schematics, and formulas to determine quality and reliability standards. Select and test products at various production stages for dimensions, performance, and mechanical characteristics. Record test data in accordance with standard operating procedures. Evaluate results and prepare reports identifying deviations from established standards. Perform both destructive and nondestructive testing to assess material and product performance. Enter and manage data for analysis using computer systems. Monitor in-process operations to ensure compliance with customer specifications (e.g., pre-heating pipe, hydro testing, roundness). Conduct visual inspections of finished goods. Assist with calibration of lab and production equipment to meet regulatory and manufacturing standards. Coordinate calibration of QA, production, and NDE equipment as needed. Assist in training new QA personnel. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervision. Minimum Qualifications Ability to work a 2nd shift schedule. Must be physically capable of performing essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations. Ability to read and interpret simple instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write basic correspondence. Effective communication skills in one-on-one and small group settings. Ability to perform basic arithmetic and operate a calculator. Understanding of measurements, including money, weight, volume, and distance. Ability to apply common sense to follow written and oral instructions. Ability to solve problems involving a limited number of variables. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of welding processes and prior welding experience. UT Level II Certification. Essential Physical Requirements Regular use of hands for handling, feeling, or operating tools. Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Occasional sitting, reaching, climbing, or balancing. Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs regularly, and up to 50 lbs occasionally. Visual requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
