EXPERIENCED MACHINIST NEEDED FOR CMM QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN
Myrtle Beach, SC Full-time Full-time Job Summary Programs and operates a Sheffield CMM measuring Machine to verify the compliance of manufactured parts to the drawings. Manually checks manufactured parts and electro mechanical assemblies using traditional measuring tools such as dial calipers, micrometers, Height Gages and gage blocks. Responsibilities and Duties Responsible daily for the CMM inspection room and everything in it. Programs, maintains and operates a Sheffield CMM measuring machine Inspects all products manufactured or secured by STI to verify their conformance to Customers specifications and rev levels. Develops and maintains all documentation from inspections for recall as required. Maintains documentation compliance to STI certifications AS9100 and
ISO 9001 2008.
Maintains and assists in measuring tool and device calibration per STI policy and procedures. Perform in-process and final inspections of manufactured and assembled components per STI inspection procedures. Produces certificates of compliance for customers as requested. Coordinates daily flow of products through inspection according to the shipping schedule. Reports to the President of STI and is responsible for keeping the President up to date as necessary of any and all activities that may or does have an impact on the customer's products or the delivery of such products. Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and processes. Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs Qualifications and Skills Prior knowledge and experience programming and operating a CMM Machine.

Past experience as machinist manufacturing high value products sometimes with demanding tolerances.

Must be able to use manual measuring tools such as Micrometers, Dial Calipers, height gages and Jo-blocks.

Must have excellent communication skills to interface with STI Employee's and Customers as required.

Must be fluent in blueprint reading and tolerance interpretation (Metric & English).Must be able to converse with authority to skilled machinists and electro mechanical employee's that in some cases have 20 plus years' experience.
