Job Description

KYOCERA AVX
Components Corporation, Myrtle Beach, S.C. Primary Function This position supports the manufacturing process using validated techniques and quality tools to monitor and inspect processes and materials. Position inspects materials / products, performs a variety of quality tests on product, records results, recommends corrective actions, documents procedures and summarizes data. Other duties may be assigned within the scope of the position. Duties and Responsibilities Inspects materials, and products for conformance to specifications. Collects samples for testing, and computes findings. Read and understand customer drawings, sample data, and associated quality documents. Enter Incoming results into Infinity QS; update requirements as needed. Utilize Oracle to monitor materials requiring Incoming Inspection and move into location. Tests and measures finished products, components, or assemblies for functioning, operation, accuracy, or assembly to verify adherence to functional specifications. E.g. wire bond, dimensional measurements, electrical performance, etc. Marks items for acceptance or rejection, records test results and inspection data, and compares findings with specifications to ensure conformance to standards. Confers with Management and Engineering regarding inspection results. Completes first article inspection reports per AS9102 Writes, reviews, and updates documentation/procedures Conducts Internal Audits Use of Smartsheet for project management, create reports and sheets. Complete Final QA review for Thin Film product shipping, as needed. Process incoming batch qualification and approval for SLC substrates. Requirements 1. Associate's degree (technical degree is preferred) and one (1) year of related experience or High School Graduate and five (5) years related experience. 2. Ability to learn and understand manufacturing process. 3. Good communication skills and ability to interact well with manufacturing, engineering, vendors and customers. 4. This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 CFR 120.15 is required (U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident).
