Job Description

General Summary :
This position is an in-office position at our Rock Hill, SC facility, reporting to the Quality Manager or Shift Lead. The Quality Control Inspector's primary responsibility is to review product blueprints and specifications to ensure product efficiency and effectiveness. The Quality Control Inspector will also document records of inspections, perform quality audits, and maintain reliability of product.
Pay:
Pay increase on average within 90 days of employment up to $1.00/hr. Additional compensation provided by completing cross training opportunities. Pay increases will be given at each skill level advancement (5 skill levels with Quality Inspectors).

This will be determined by training advancement.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Inspecting output samples using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing standards, measuring dimensions, and examining functionality.
  • Reviewing blueprints and specifications in comparison of produced goods; Inspect plated material using an x-ray, microscope, comparator, and other inspection devices.
  • Communicate results and required adjustments to appropriate operator, production supervisor, or engineer.
  • Document and generate records of inspection, audits, tests, and examinations as evidence of compliance, and/or objective evidence of corrective action activities in quality database.
  • Keeping measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager or shift lead
Position Requirements:
  • Ability to multi-task and respond to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • This position requires average amounts of mental concentration and manual dexterity.
  • Much of the work is performed seated with walking about the plant to gather information or attend meetings.
