Finishing Operator

The Dryer Operator plays a major role in the final finishing stage of production of Press fabrics for use in the pulp and paper industry. Over time the incumbent is trained in a variety of distinct tasks each associated with the classification of a Finishing Operator.

Requirements:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

. Demonstrate the ability to assist in loading & unloading fabrics with a weight range of 40 -600 kilos at the Dryers & other finishing equipment . . Read and comprehend sales orders and manufacturing instructions . Computer knowledge . Must be able to safely operate all equipment in the Finishing department, including but not limited to dryers, perches and blue line after training. . Operate Forklift . Able to load/unload heavy fabrics when necessary . Must be cautious, quality minded, and able to recognize problems immediately . Perform other duties as required by supervision. . Cross-train to other processes . Maintains work area/environment . Reads, understands and is committed to conducting business in accordance to Albany International's Business Ethics Policy.
