Job Description

Located in Hendersonville, TN, MGM Industries is a family-owned window and door manufacturer that has been serving customers for more than 50 years. Testing Coordinator Position Summary The Testing Coordinator is responsible for planning and executing weekly quality testing of MGM Industries window products, coordinating the preparation and submission of units to third-party testing laboratories, and maintaining the accuracy of certification records. This role ensures that all product certifications remain current and that supporting documentation and test samples are kept up to date in accordance with applicable standards and program requirements. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesQuality Testing Conduct weekly quality testing on window and door products in accordance with established test plans and applicable standards. Evaluate test results against specification criteria and document findings accurately. Identify non-conformances and escalate issues to the Quality Coordinator. Support root cause analysis for failed tests or out-of-tolerance results. Third-Party Lab Coordination Prepare, assemble, and label test specimens for submission to accredited third-party testing laboratories. Coordinate logistics for sample shipments, including packaging, freight scheduling, and chain-of-custody documentation. Communicate with laboratory contacts to schedule tests, confirm requirements, and track submission status. Review lab reports upon receipt and verify results against certification program requirements. Maintain a log of all lab submissions, test reports, and associated costs. Certification Tracking Maintain a comprehensive database of all product certifications, including certification numbers, scope, issuing body, and expiration dates. Monitor upcoming expirations and proactively initiate renewal testing or re-certification activities well in advance of deadlines. Coordinate with Engineering as needed to prioritize renewal activities based on product line importance. Ensure certifications are active and in good standing at all times; resolve any compliance gaps promptly. Documentation & Sample Maintenance Prepare periodic certification status reports for Engineering and Management review. Ensure all records are organized, accurate, and audit-ready. QualificationsEducation High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree or technical certification in a related field (Quality, Manufacturing Technology, or Engineering Technology) preferred. Experience No prior experience required. Experience in a quality, testing, or manufacturing environment is a plus. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Extremely organized and disciplined Familiarity with window and door industry certification standards (AAMA, NFRC, ENERGY STAR) preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in tracking deadlines and managing records. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with database or tracking software a plus. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, test standards, and certification program requirements. Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with labs, vendors, and internal teams. Self-directed with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously. Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. Physical Requirements Ability to work in both office and manufacturing/lab environments. Ability to walk the production floor and handle product samples. Occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and move throughout the facility as needed.
