Job Description

Job Title:
CMM Programmer Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled CMM Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for product layout, writing CMM Programs using PC-DMIS, and performing various calibrations and certifications. This role requires a strong commitment to disciplined adherence to processes and procedures and active participation in continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Perform product layout and write CMM Programs using PC-DMIS. Annually perform check fixture calibration and layout on all existing production check fixtures, models, templates, and production parts. Certify all new check fixtures and maintain inspection layout files in an orderly fashion. Perform tooling layouts for compliance and buyoff when necessary. Conduct gage R&R studies. Scribe and save a master sample of all production jobs. Calibrate all hand-held tools, micrometers, calipers, height gages, and all inspection tools. Manage testing equipment calibration requirements and coordinate certification with outside sources. Support the production and quality departments in problem-solving. Operate the CMM and interpret all blueprints and math data. Perform all PPAP capability studies and sample layouts. Execute all necessary job responsibilities as determined by the Quality Manager. Demonstrate a strong commitment to disciplined adherence to process and procedures. Actively contribute to and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Communicate and coordinate with other departments. Utilize CMM measurement systems. Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T. Utilize computer and software systems. Apply knowledge of statistical techniques. Essential Skills Experience programming CMM utilizing PC-DMIS software. Ability to interpret part prints and understand GD&T. Familiarity with quality engineering and IATF standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with PPAP processes. Strong problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and coordination skills. Work Environment The position operates on a Monday through Friday schedule, with 1st shift hours from 6:50 AM to 4:20 PM. Expect to work 50-hour weeks. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Vergne, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
