Manufacturing Full Job Description Job Summary:
Join our team as a Quality Control Lab Technician where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our car parts. You will work with our quality team in our lab to detect and problem solve any defects and issues in the manufacturing process, this role requires you to be able to work independently and as a part of a team. Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supporting of Quality Technicians, Quality Auditors and NONCON Area.
- Track and report on key quality measurables (KPI's).
- Responsible for the modification and development of Quality Documents.
- Work closely with Quality Engineering and Manufacturing on the development of standards for floor including new product layout and gage selection.
- Assist with the development of limit samples for parts (Red Rabbits), as needed.
- Attend cross-functional team meetings to review quality issues.
- Perform readiness audits in production to ensure good quality system has been established before parts can be transferred.
- Assist with the resolution of customer complaints / quality issues.
- Ability to train new associates.
- Oversee all duties within the Lab including measurements support for Production and Quality Technicians.
- Develop and maintain schedules for calibration of all measurement devices withing the facility. Also perform all required internal calibration and maintain traceability of all measurement devices.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Skills:
- Gage Calibration management.
- Ability to use Microsoft Suite of Products. (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, etc)
- Ability to use and train on all basic measurement tools. (Calipers, micrometers, comparator, etc.)
- Ability to use and program CMM and other electronic measurement equipment.
Preferred Education :
- Associates Degree and 2 years of experience or High School Diploma and 4 plus years of experience in manufacturing.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- 3+ years of previous quality experience working within Mfg./Lab environment.
- Ability to effectively support production by providing measurements and providing results.
Must be able to communicate effectively in the English language both verbally and in writing
