As part of our growth and international expansion, we are opening our third manufacturing plant, located in Allen, Texas. Therefore, we are looking to add to our team a:
SANITATION AND MICROBIOLOGY ANALYST
(Analista de Sanidad y Microbiología) Job Summary Develop, implement, and validate cleaning and sanitation methodologies for equipment and process areas; verify compliance with the Master Cleaning Plan, ensuring product quality and food safety. Perform microbiological analyses on raw materials, packaging materials, finished products, living and inert surfaces, and environmental air, according to established methodologies. Responsibilities Implement and validate cleaning and sanitation methodologies for manufacturing equipment. Train production personnel on the proper execution of cleaning techniques. Perform microbiological analysis on raw materials, finished products, living and inert surfaces, and environmental air. Manage microbiological testing with external laboratories in compliance with specifications. Establish Master Cleaning Plan activities and monitor their compliance and effectiveness. Manage the testing frequency program for raw materials and/or finished products to ensure compliance with specifications, as well as the calibration program with external suppliers. Document results in a timely manner in SAP and databases to ensure availability and traceability. Generate purchase requests for materials and analytical testing with external suppliers to ensure availability of materials and services. Develop and update documents in accordance with document control guidelines and operational requirements. Requirements Bilingual in English and Spanish (mandatory) Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (especially Excel)
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Science, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Chemistry, or related field 1-3 years of experience in the food industry, quality assurance, process control, and quality/food safety systems Line inspection and sampling experience Important Travel requirement: Availability to travel to Mexico for initial training Education Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Science, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Chemistry, or related field (Required) Experience 1-3 years of experience in the food, pharmaceutical, or similar industry 1-3 years of experience in food industry, quality assurance, process control, and quality/food safety systems Line inspection and sampling Language English (fluent) (Required) Spanish (fluent, non-negotiable) (Required) The physical demands described below are representative of those that an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.   • Lift, carry, push, or pull a weight of 10 to 15 (22 - 33 lbs) kg frequently and occasionally up to 25 kg (55 lbs).

  • Ability to remain standing for 4 to 5 hours
  • Ability to sit and operate a computer, keyboard, and standard office equipment for short periods
