Full Job Description Description:
Position Summary The Quality Coordinator is responsible for supporting and maintaining Austin Hose's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with API Q1, 10th Edition, ISO 9001:2015, and company quality standards. This position assists with document control, audits, corrective actions, process improvement initiatives, compliance monitoring, and quality records management. The Quality Coordinator works closely with branch and production teams to ensure quality requirements are consistently implemented, maintained, and improved throughout the organization. Key Responsibilities A. Quality Management System Administration Maintain and administer the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with API Q1 and
ISO 9001
requirements. Manage document control processes, including procedures, work instructions, forms, records, and revision tracking. Ensure current revisions of controlled documents are available and obsolete documents are properly removed from circulation. Assist departments with the development, review, and revision of quality documentation. B. Audit Coordination & Compliance Coordinate and schedule internal quality audits throughout the organization. Participate in internal audits and assist in documenting findings and opportunities for improvement. Collect, organize, and maintain audit evidence and records. Support preparation for external audits, surveillance audits, customer audits, and certification audits. Track audit findings through closure and verify effectiveness of corrective actions. C. Corrective Actions & Continuous Improvement Maintain nonconformance, corrective action, preventive action, and improvement logs. Assist managers with root cause analysis and corrective action implementation. Monitor corrective action effectiveness and ensure timely closure. Track quality performance metrics and identify trends requiring management attention. Support continuous improvement initiatives designed to improve operational efficiency, product quality, and customer satisfaction. D. Quality Records & Reporting Maintain quality records in accordance with retention requirements. Prepare reports related to quality metrics, audit findings, corrective actions, and compliance activities. Assist with Management Review preparation and reporting. Monitor key performance indicators associated with quality objectives. E. Branch & Operational Support Serve as a quality resource for branch and operational personnel. Conduct periodic compliance reviews and assessments. Assist departments in interpreting quality requirements and procedures. Follow up on open quality-related action items to ensure timely completion. Support customer quality inquiries and documentation requests as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications Associate degree or equivalent experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Operations, or related field. Strong organizational and document management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Experience with
ISO 9001
2015 and/or API Q1 Quality Management Systems. Experience supporting internal or external audits. Experience with document control systems. Understanding of root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies.
