Arlington, TX Job Details Full-time $23 - $28 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Mechanical blueprint interpretation Computer operation Blueprint specification interpretation PCB Electronic parts High school diploma or GED Manufacturing facility Electrical quality assurance Quality control within electronics industry Electrical parts Manufacturing company experience Quality data entry Full Job Description Job Summary The Incoming Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting incoming materials, electronic components, and assemblies to ensure they meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements before release to production. This role helps prevent nonconforming materials from entering the manufacturing process and supports compliance with ISO 9001 and company quality procedures. Key Responsibilities Perform incoming inspections of electronic components and materials including PCBs, PCBAs, connectors, cables, and mechanical parts. Verify materials meet engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials (BOM), and inspection plans. Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using approved tools and inspection methods. Conduct sampling inspections according to defined inspection plans (AQL or
ANSI/ASQ Z1.4
). Inspect PCBAs for workmanship in accordance with IPC standards (e.g., IPC-A-610, IPC-A-600). Verify component identification, polarity, orientation, and solder quality. Review supplier documentation including Certificates of Conformance (CoC), test reports, and material certifications. Identify and document nonconforming materials and support nonconformance reporting (NCR). Record inspection results and maintain quality records in accordance with
ISO 9001
requirements. Ensure proper handling of ESD-sensitive devices and follow ESD control procedures. Support quality investigations and communicate issues to Quality Engineering and Supply Chain teams. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to supplier quality and incoming inspection processes. Required Qualifications High school diploma or
GED. 2-5
years of experience in incoming inspection or quality inspection within a manufacturing environment. Experience inspecting electronic components, PCBAs, or assemblies. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and BOMs. Basic computer skills for data entry and inspection reporting. Preferred Qualifications Technical certificate, Associate's degree, or electronics-related training. Familiarity with IPC standards such as IPC-A-610 or
IPC-A-600.
Knowledge of ESD control requirements (ANSI/ESD S20.20). Experience using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, microscopes, VMM (Vision Measuring Machine), or digital multimeters. Effective communication and teamwork. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Work Environment and Physical Requirements Work is performed in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. The position may require standing or sitting for extended periods and performing inspections using microscopes or inspection equipment. Occasional lifting of materials and the use of pallet jacks may be required. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn when required.
