CMT Technician (JOB ID 2117) OneSparQ's Client - 5.0 Austin, TX Job Details Contract $20 - $25 an hour 14 hours ago Qualifications Measuring tapes Safety protocol adherence Phone communication Basic math English Numeracy Driving ACI Certification Full Job Description OneSparQ is seeking multiple skilled CMT Technicians to support our client's Central Texas division. Opportunities are available in Round Rock, Waco, and Austin, Texas.
Responsibilities:
Perform various tests on construction materials during active projects. Sample and test concrete from ready-mix trucks using wheelbarrows; report results to contractors to confirm if it meets specifications. Collect soil samples in buckets from areas that will be used as subgrade and send them to the lab. Perform pin and plate and nuclear density testing on road materials and report results to contractors. Perform asphalt density testing. Inspect rebar and site conditions before concrete placement for safety and compliance.
Required Skills:
Speak, read, and write English; strong communication skills (email, phone, reporting) Basic math skills and the ability to read a tape measure and dial gauge Safety-focused mindset (strict adherence to safety rules, including no phone use while driving) ACI Field Testing Technician Grade I or 6+ months of materials testing/inspection experience

TxDOT certifications (SB102 Asphalt, Level 1B)
ICC, PTI, RT, PT, UT, VT, MT, ASNT, AWS
certifications #priority
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
