General Responsibilities:
Perform laboratory testing of construction materials (e.g. concrete, soils, aggregates, asphalt, etc.), specifically focusing on soils. Communicate with laboratory management, project managers, engineering technicians, client representatives, contractor's representative and others as applicable regarding the laboratory testing requirements and results. Tabulate, prepare, and submit data in the form of written and digital reports as work is performed for daily transmittal to the Terracon Project Manager. Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and work areas, ensuring adherence to strict safety standards.Essential Roles and Responsibilities:
Under close supervision of senior technicians and laboratory management, learn and assist with tasks and perform basic testing duties. Conduct laboratory testing on soil samples to determine physical and mechanical properties, including compaction, moisture content, plasticity, sieve analysis, etc. Document findings and results clearly, communicating information to the Project Manager and laboratory management in a timely manner. Submits documentation and communicates results as directed by management. Maintains laboratory equipment and ensures they are in good working condition. Comply with all safety rules and practices, following safety requirements for laboratory testing procedures. Perform pre-task planning before executing work tasks and promptly report any safety issues or concerns to management. Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects at all times.Requirements:
