Job Description
Position Summary DG Foods is currently looking for a Food Safety Quality Assurance (FSQA) Technician for its Bastrop, LA facility. This position supports the FSQA department with maintaining proper documentation of products and processes driving quality policies, procedures, and standards. This position reports to the FSQA Supervisor. Essential Job Functions Monitors all HACCP Programs in the plant to ensure regulatory compliance. Monitors GMPs, records deficiencies and communicates these deficiencies to appropriate management personnel. Monitors all SSOP programs, records deficiencies, and communicates these deficiencies to appropriate management personnel. Record data accurately and legibly. Monitors and enforces all QA programs, corrects, follows up, and communicates any issues to appropriate management personnel. Monitors and ensures all products follow specifications. Performs all other duties as assigned by the FSQA Supervisor and/or FSQA Manager. Job Requirements Highschool Diploma or GED required. Must be 18 years old. Solid understanding of HACCP and prerequisite programs such as SSOP, GMP, etc. is preferred. Must have the ability to learn and process information in a timely manner. Must have effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Must be able to work in a team environment. Must be able to work in a cooler (sometimes as low as 28 degrees). Must have working knowledge of the use of tablets (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint) Physical Requirements Ability to work in a cold and wet environment for extended periods of time. Ability to work in an office environment. Ability to lift and maneuver up to 30 pounds. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. Constantly operates a tablet and other related resources for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
