Inspector -Electronics Manufacturing Location:
Carrollton, TX Shift:
2nd Shift | 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM Position Summary An established electronics manufacturing company in Carrollton is seeking an AOI Inspector and/or 5DX Inspector to join the production quality team. Previous inspection experience is preferred; however, candidates with PCB assembly or soldering experience are encouraged to apply, as training on inspection equipment may be provided. This position is responsible for inspecting electronic components, assemblies, and finished products to ensure compliance with company specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities Inspect purchased parts, PCB assemblies, subassemblies, and finished products for quality and conformance to specifications. Operate AOI and/or 5DX inspection equipment to identify defects and verify product quality. Perform dimensional, mechanical, and visual inspections using precision measuring tools and testing devices. Compare received materials against procurement data, drawings, and product specifications for accuracy and completeness. Identify workmanship defects, transit damage, soldering issues, alignment problems, and functional inconsistencies. Approve, reject, or recommend rework for inspected materials and products. Document inspection results, test findings, and disposition records accurately and in a timely manner. Conduct manufacturing and process audits using established procedures and control plans. Maintain controlled documentation, inspection records, and calibration logs. Coordinate calibration and maintenance of test equipment and inspection fixtures. Monitor critical inspection and measurement equipment to ensure proper functionality. Assist with the development and revision of SOPs, inspection procedures, checklists, and quality protocols. Communicate quality concerns and recommend corrective actions to supervisors and production teams. Qualifications Experience with AOI and/or 5DX inspection systems preferred. PCB assembly and soldering experience highly desirable. Ability to read drawings, specifications, and product documentation. Familiarity with electronic manufacturing processes and quality standards. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Basic computer and documentation skills required. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
