Job Description
Primary Responsibilities Create and update manufacturing documentation including drawings and bills of materials (BOMs), in accordance with industry and departmental standards. Advocate for safety and quality in all manufacturing documentation, ensuring products meet stringent industry standards. Identify and capitalize on opportunities to improve manufacturability, reduce costs, enhance product quality and successfully translate into drawing updates. Communicate engineering design changes and updates with all internal stakeholders. Document all drawing changes in an Engineering Notice. Perform dimensional and tolerance calculations. Maintain compliance with Quality Management System (QMS), Health Safety and Environmental (HSE), and industry quality standards, supporting QA/QC teams with audits and process development. Attend safety training and wear required safety equipment as appropriate. Job Duties Develop and maintain 2D and 3D models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and design requirements Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure design intent is met Support QA/QC teams with documentation and audit preparation Participate in safety training and follow all required PPE and safety protocols Assist with process improvements and documentation standardization Adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Education and Qualifications Associate's Degree in Drafting Technology, two (2) years of vocational training, or equivalent experience Five (5) years of relevant drafting experience in lieu of formal education Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD required Ability to work on-site in
Conroe, TX Preferred Qualifications:
Two (2)+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment Experience with Teamcenter and JD Edwards Knowledge ofASME Y14.5
