Job Description

The Quality Assurance Department at the Coastal Bend Blood Center has an available full-time job opening for the position of Quality Assurance Associate. Be a part of the QA Department by assisting in the maintenance of the Blood Center's Quality Management System. The QA Associate is responsible for assisting with the Quality Assurance Department's activities associated with the maintenance of the Quality Management System and any other program related with the Quality Assurance Department. The position will perform all the necessary activities to complete record review and obtain all necessary information according to applicable standard operation procedures, company policies and regulatory requirements. The position will perform necessary tasks to maintain the Quality System functions and documentation under specified acceptable criteria. Additional duties include but not limited to: Assist with receiving, evaluating, investigation and follow-up of Deviation Occurrence Reports, lookback investigations and consignee notifications.
Experience & Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent. Clerical knowledge and experience with office equipment is required. One year of clerical or administrative experience required. Experience in the Quality Assurance field is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
This position requires: Strong technology & organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs Strong verbal & written skills, detail oriented Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines Must be able to work well with all staff levels Excellent problems solving & troubleshooting Quality control analysis Must have a Current Texas Driver's License with Clean Driving Record; High School Graduate or Equivalent. Selected applicants are subject to a drug/alcohol screen and background check. Additionally, this position requires working with sensitive and confidential information in a highly controlled and regulated environment.
