In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all CNC-machined components meet strict quality standards and specifications. Your expertise in quality control processes, precision measurement, and technical inspection will be vital in maintaining the integrity of our products. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-precision manufacturing environments, uphold industry standards such as ISO 9001 and AS9100, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Duties Conduct thorough quality inspections of CNC-machined parts using precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) like PC-DMIS. Review blueprints, schematics, and CAD models created with SolidWorks or similar software to verify dimensions and geometric tolerances (GD&T). Perform dimensional inspections in accordance with ASME codes & standards and
ISO 13485
requirements for medical device manufacturing. Utilize Calypso software and other quality management tools to document inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to identify root causes of quality issues and implement process improvements aligned with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards. Ensure compliance with tooling specifications, mechanical knowledge requirements, and machining processes during quality checks. Assist in calibration and maintenance of precision measuring instruments to uphold measurement accuracy. Qualifications Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance within CNC machining or manufacturing environments. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and schematic interpretation. Proficiency with coordinate measuring machines (CMM), PC-DMIS software, and other dimensional inspection tools. Familiarity with
ISO 9001, AS9100
aerospace standards, ISO 13485 medical device standards, and ASME codes & standards. Mechanical aptitude with understanding of tooling, machining processes, calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments. Ability to read CAD files created in SolidWorks or similar programs; experience with Schematics is a plus. Excellent math skills for precise measurement calculations; strong attention to detail and analytical thinking. Effective communication skills for working collaboratively across teams; proactive problem-solving mindset.
