Job Description

Position Summary:
We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Labeling and Quality Control Pharmacy Technicians in a fast-paced compounding pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform quality control checks to verify medication accuracy, appearance, and integrity Cross-reference medication name, strength, quantity, and beyond-use date (BUD) on vial against the prescription Print medication labels accurately using pharmacy software Apply correct labels to vials in accordance with state and federal labeling requirements Identify and flag any labeling discrepancies, prescription errors, or vial defects before release Coordinate with the clean room, data entry, and shipping departments to resolve errors or discrepancies in a timely manner Maintain an organized and efficient labeling workflow to meet daily order volume Document QC checks and any corrective actions taken per pharmacy policy Ensure all labeled products meet USP compounding standards and state board of pharmacy regulations Handle and store medications appropriately, maintaining cold chain or room temperature requirements as applicable Skills and Qualifications Prior compounding or retail pharmacy experience preferred Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies accurately Effective communication skills for cross-departmental coordination Familiarity with pharmacy software and label printing systems a plus Familiarity with pharmacy software, PioneerRx or LifeFile experience a plus Ability to work efficiently under time constraints Strong organizational skills Team player with good interpersonal skills
Requirements:
Active state pharmacy technician registration or pharmacy technician trainee registration Must be able to maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Requires prolonged periods of fine motor work High school diploma or GED required
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
