Job Description:
Lead QA Coordinator - Oil & Gas Services Join a growing oil & gas services organization where quality, compliance, and process excellence are critical to operational success. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Lead QA Coordinator to support and drive quality assurance initiatives across engineering, procurement, fabrication, and vendor documentation processes. This role will serve as a key resource for maintaining quality standards, ensuring documentation compliance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of corporate quality systems, audit readiness, documentation control, and regulatory compliance , along with the ability to lead cross-functional coordination efforts and promote a culture of accountability and quality excellence. Key Responsibilities Quality Systems & Compliance Lead coordination and review efforts for Vendor Data Books (VDBs) to ensure completeness, traceability, and compliance with project specifications and client requirements Ensure adherence to applicable industry standards and quality requirements , including
ASME, API, AWS, ISO
9001, and client-specific procedures Support and maintain the organization's Quality Management System (QMS) , ensuring documentation and processes remain compliant and audit-ready Coordinate quality documentation workflows to ensure timely and accurate completion of records prior to project closeout Corporate QA Leadership Serve as a key point of contact for quality-related coordination efforts across Engineering, Procurement, Operations, and external vendors Lead initiatives focused on improving documentation accuracy, quality processes, and compliance standards Assist in developing and refining quality procedures, workflows, and best practices Promote a culture centered on continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence Audit & Documentation Management Review and validate quality documentation including: Material certifications Welding procedures (WPS/PQR) NDE reports Inspection and test records Calibration certificates Support internal, external, and client audits by ensuring all documentation is organized, complete, and compliant Maintain and oversee quality records including NCRs, CAPAs, inspection reports, and audit documentation Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with internal departments and vendors to resolve documentation gaps, compliance concerns, and quality issues Provide guidance and support to project teams regarding quality documentation standards and requirements Assist leadership with quality reporting, metrics tracking, and process improvement initiatives Qualifications 3-7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Coordination, or Document Compliance within oil & gas, manufacturing, engineering, or industrial services environments Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and industry quality standards (ASME, API, AWS, etc.) Experience supporting corporate quality systems, audits, and vendor documentation review Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) Strong organizational and documentation management skills Key Skills & Competencies Exceptional attention to detail and documentation accuracy Strong understanding of quality systems, compliance, and audit readiness Ability to lead coordination efforts across multiple departments without direct supervisory responsibility Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Preferred Qualifications Internal Auditor certification or formal training in quality systems Experience supporting ISO audits, client audits, or regulatory inspections Technical writing and document review experience This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional looking to step into a lead-level role with strong exposure to corporate QA processes, compliance initiatives, and cross-functional operational support
