Our client is a leading provider of custom electrical power systems, specializing in switchboards, motor control centers, and automation solutions for industries such as energy, solar, and manufacturing. They're seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to add to their team in Houston, TX ! Successful candidates must pass a background check, MVR check and drug screening as a requirement for these positions.Quality Control Technician Benefits:
Hourly rate range: $25-$30+ depending on experienceSet Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm Comprehensive benefits package Opportunity for career advancement & growthQuality Control Technician Responsibilities:
Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on electrical products Conduct testing using tools such as multimeters, hi-pot testers, calipers, and micrometers Verify compliance with customer specifications and industry standards Document inspection results, including nonconformities, within the ERP system Report quality issues and collaborate with production teams on corrective actions Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure proper documentation sign-off Support Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) initiatives Assist with training new technicians on quality control processes Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance quality and efficiency Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety protocolsQuality Control Technician Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required 1+ year of experience in quality control, inspection, or testing (electrical manufacturing preferred) Basic understanding of electrical systems, switchboards, and control panels Familiarity with industry standards (UL, ANSI/NEMA, IEC preferred) Experience using inspection and testing tools (calipers, micrometers, multimeters, etc.) Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy Ability to identify defects and troubleshoot quality issues Effective communication and teamwork skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime or weekends as neededQuality Control Technician Preferred:
