Process and Quality Technician NPI Technologies Inc Richardson, TX Job Details Full-time $15 - $30 an hour 1 day ago Benefits 401(k) Paid time off 401(k) matching Qualifications Assembly Electrical experience Continuous improvement Electrical troubleshooting Root cause analysis Manufacturing company experience Mechanical knowledge Process engineering Electrical soldering Circuit boards Full Job Description Overview NPI Technologies is seeking a hands-on Quality & Process Engineer to improve processes, reduce defects, and drive consistency in a high-mix electronics manufacturing environment. This role is split between process development and direct support on the production floor. Key Responsibilities Process Control & Improvement Develop and implement process controls and standard work Identify and eliminate inefficiencies across manufacturing operations Improve process consistency in a high-mix environment Quality & Defect Reduction Reduce escapes and defects Improve First Pass Yield (FPY) Lead structured root cause analysis and corrective actions Training & Workforce Development Improve operator and inspector training on workmanship and process adherence Reinforce quality expectations and accountability on the production floor Bridge communication between engineering, quality, and production teams Metrics & Compliance Track and analyze key KPIs (FPY, defects, escapes, rework) Support and drive compliance with
AS9100 / ISO 9001
requirements Assist with audits and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications Required:
3+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing (EMS preferred) Experience with PCB assembly (SMT, through-hole, hand solder) Strong understanding of process control and root cause analysis Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-mix production environment
Preferred:
Familiarity with IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, or
IPC 7711/7721
Experience supporting AS9100 or
ISO 9001
systems Experience in improving training programs or operator performance Bilingual Vietnamese / English (preferred, not required) Work Environment Hands-on, production-focused role (not desk-only) High-mix / quick-turn manufacturing environment Daily interaction with operators, inspectors, and leadership Apply Submit your resume and a brief summary of relevant experience in: Process improvement Defect reduction Electronics manufacturing
