ESSENTIAL JOB
FUNCTIONSUse precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, steel rules, pin gauges, surface plates, and height gaugesRead and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to verify product specificationsPerform visual inspections in accordance with customer and quality standardsInspect and test in-process and finished products to ensure complianceDocument inspection results through accurate reports and logsIdentify, segregate, and report non-conforming materials or productsGenerate and summarize non-conformance reports for discrepanciesMaintain inspection equipment and report any issues requiring repairInspect incoming materials to confirm they meet required specificationsParticipate in departmental meetings and continuous improvement effortsKnowledge of quality standards, safety practices, and inspection procedures
JOB REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent requiredAssociate degree in a related field preferredProficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and measurement tools (required)At least 1 year of experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment preferredStrong attention to detail and accuracy in inspection and documentationBasic math skills, including working with fractions, decimals, ratios, and percentagesAbility to interpret data and read basic charts or graphsBasic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, internet)
