Job Description

QUALITY CONTROL

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Use precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, steel rules, pin gauges, surface plates, and height gauges Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to verify product specifications Perform visual inspections in accordance with customer and quality standards Inspect and test in-process and finished products to ensure compliance Document inspection results through accurate reports and logs Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming materials or products Generate and summarize non-conformance reports for discrepancies Maintain inspection equipment and report any issues requiring repair Inspect incoming materials to confirm they meet required specifications Participate in departmental meetings and continuous improvement efforts Knowledge of quality standards, safety practices, and inspection procedures
JOB REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent required Associate degree in a related field preferred Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and measurement tools (required) At least 1 year of experience in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inspection and documentation Basic math skills, including working with fractions, decimals, ratios, and percentages Ability to interpret data and read basic charts or graphs Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, internet)
