Job Description

Job Title:
Quality Assurance Technician Company Overview:
Somafina is a growing and thriving third-party manufacturer of vitamins and supplements, dedicated to producing high-quality products that meet the highest standards in the nutraceutical industry. We pride ourselves on our commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction.
Essential Responsibilities:
Ensure product specifications are met and that company policies and procedures are followed. Conduct production equipment and room clearing. Manage packaging line clearing. Authorize rework as necessary. Perform cleaning verifications. Review in-process documentation. Conduct yield investigations and product sampling. Ensure the production of products meets the company's stringent quality standards from start to finish. Liaise with production and customer service departments to ensure that projects are initiated, executed, and completed according to federal regulations. Conduct point step process reviews and materials reviews. Verify labels against work orders to ensure product accuracy. Manage line clearing and documentation control. Ensure all employees adhere to cGMP requirements within the facility. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Additional Responsibilities:
Adhere strictly to company policies and procedures.
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Competencies/Skill Qualifications:
Knowledge of GMPs and experience with nutraceuticals. Exceptional written and communication skills. Ability to follow instructions and directions. Capability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail. Ability to prioritize and efficiently complete assigned tasks. Decision-making skills based on company guidelines. Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills. Adaptability to a dynamic environment and effectiveness during major changes in responsibilities. Integrity and personal responsibility for performance. Knowledge of Dietary Supplement GMPs. Experience in the dietary supplement industry. Auditing experience preferred but not required. Experience enforcing SOPs and product specifications. Proficiency in all MS Office Suite programs; Excel experience required. Strong mathematical skills. English proficiency required.
Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; converse, listen, taste, or smell. Must exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. May be exposed to a dusty environment and/or considerable noise.
