POSITION SUMMARY
With limited guidance in a team environment, responsible for various semi-complex inspection requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities may include some or all of the following: Maintain accurate, up-to-date acceptance and rejection records and/or certification systems as required by applicable specifications. Determine acceptance or rejection after inspection. Identify defective conditions and test failures, and prepare all appropriate documentation.
Inspection:
Perform semi-complex inspections of detailed machined parts using a wide variety of measuring instruments to determine the acceptability or rejection of parts and/or finishes. Adapt and develop inspection set-ups to check sample parts, forgings, and castings. Interpret specifications, charts, manuals, and other data to arrive at acceptance or rejection. Use mathematics to convert blueprint dimensions and tolerances. Work within the guidelines of drawings, schematics, blueprints, route sheets, travelers, quality directives, technical engineering specifications, and customers' requirements. Determine acceptance or rejection after inspecting parts. Identify causes of defective conditions and test failures and prepare all appropriate documentation. Investigate cause of customer return failures. Perform inspections to applicable specifications within repair and overhaul department.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or Equivalent Three years of related inspection experience or demonstrated ability to perform the described responsibilities. Required to currently hold an FAA Repairman Certificate or an FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate Ability and willingness to achieve Organization Designation Authorization certification. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, customers' specifications, and internal drawings and procedures. Possess working knowledge of shop mathematics. May be required to lift up to 50 lbs. Must demonstrate effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
Pay:
$25.45 - $35.00 per hour
