2nd Shift Quality Control Inspector - Sheet Metal Fabrication

AOC Metal Works is actively searching for an experienced Quality Control Inspector to examine and inspect materials, finished parts, and fabricated products for defects to ensure conformance with work orders, diagrams, blueprints and customer specifications. The successful candidate will be proficient in using measurement tools, interpreting technical drawings, and documenting inspection results.

THIS IS A 2ND SHIFT POSITION.

Principal Accountabilities:

(The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations.) : Inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to verify against blueprints and other drawings Maintain, test and troubleshoot all instrumentation devices Attempt repairs on broken or damaged products to determine the best way to scale those repairs Report problems or concerns to senior management immediately Create an effective, efficient testing protocol to be used across all product lines Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations Assist with other duties as assigned Adheres to all company policies and procedures Qualifications Proven experience with sheet metal in a manufacturing facility; Proven ability to visually inspect fabricated sheet metal, machined parts and painted parts and assemblies. Basic understanding of dimensional inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers); demonstrated understanding of decimals, fractions, etc. Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings, etc. Familiar with assembly line processes and quality control standards Experience with ISO processes and procedures a plus Ability to work effectively in a team-based setting and adapt to various production tasks
