Overview Join our dynamic team as a Quality Technician and become a vital part of our manufacturing excellence! In this role you'll perform inspections, maintain our calibration program, and support the day-to-day workings of our quality management system — partnering with machining, plating, assembly, and engineering to keep our products meeting customer specifications. Duties Conduct thorough quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and vision inspection systems to verify product dimensions and specifications. Utilize advanced quality management software and Calypso to document inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions efficiently. Perform routine calibration and maintenance of measurement tools including coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to ensure accuracy and reliability. Execute quality audits in accordance with
ISO 13485, ISO
9001, and FDA regulations to verify compliance with industry standards and internal procedures. Analyze inspection data to identify trends, root causes of defects, and opportunities for process improvements within manufacturing operations. Support the implementation of HACCP, CGMP, and other quality systems to maintain product safety and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues promptly, ensuring adherence to strict quality control (QC) protocols during production cycles. Qualifications Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment, preferably in regulated industries such as medical devices or pharmaceuticals. Strong knowledge of
ISO 13485, ISO 9001, FDA
regulations, HACCP, CGMP standards, and quality audit procedures. Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, vision inspection systems, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Familiarity with Calypso software for data collection and analysis related to quality metrics. Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and identify areas for improvement. Experience conducting internal or external quality audits to ensure compliance with established standards. Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments and document findings clearly. Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections against engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality standards Conduct first-article inspections and document results Use precision measurement tools — calipers, micrometers, height gauges, gauge pins, and similar — to verify dimensions and tolerances Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T Maintain the calibration program for gauges and measurement equipment, including scheduling, records, and tracking Document and process nonconformances (NCRs), support root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) Maintain quality records and help keep QMS documentation current Support internal and external audits and customer quality requirements Partner with production and engineering to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement High school diploma or GED [2+] years of quality or inspection experience in a manufacturing or machining environment Confidence with precision measurement tools and reading blueprints/GD&T Familiarity with quality management systems and documentation (NCRs, calibration records, inspection reports) Strong attention to detail, solid shop math, and clear written documentation skills Comfortable working across a custom, high-mix production floor Nice to Have Experience with an
ISO 9001
