We are currently seeking a Quality Analyst to join our team and play an important role in supporting product quality, supplier performance, and operational excellence within our manufacturing operation. Position Summary The Quality Analyst is responsible for ensuring that manufacturing processes and finished products meet customer requirements and comply with ISO 9001 and internal quality standards. This role supports inspection activities, monitors product and process performance, and drives timely resolution of quality issues through effective root cause analysis and corrective actions. The Quality Analyst works cross-functionally with production, engineering, and suppliers to maintain compliance, improve process capability, and reduce defects. Responsibilities include managing nonconforming materials, supporting audits, maintaining accurate quality documentation, and analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Maintain a safe work environment. Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections. Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) and support PPAP (Production Parts Approval Process) submissions. Performs measurements and calculations to verify conformity using calipers, thread gauges, micrometers, coating tester, CMM, and other equipment. Extensive knowledge in interpreting engineering drawings (blueprints) and GD&T applications. Prepare and perform outgoing finished goods inspection. Identify and segregate non-conforming materials (quarantine/hold). Lead or support root cause analysis using tools like 5 Whys, Fishbone (Ishikawa), 8D reports, and implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPA). Ensure traceability (lot numbers, serial tracking, supplier linkage) Effectively managing the calibration due dates and coordinating the collection of equipment across departments. Update the calibration Master List. Works closely with the Quality Manager to get the timing and an accurate schedule to perform calibration of measuring devices and equipment at the site.
Support audits:
Internal audits, customer audits, and certification audits. Perform Out of Box Audits / Product Audits (Final & Ship Loose Audits) Label nonconforming product, move electronically and physically per the procedure. Perform ERP transactions into and out of QA warehouses as needed. Control, count, and reduce inventory in the area of responsibility, and escalate issues as needed. Inspect reworked products for acceptance. Familiar with and assist the Quality Manager and Engineers on SPC (statistical process control), MSA (Measurement System Analysis), FMEA, Control Plans, and APQP. Effectively communicate actions for product quality-related concerns with various personnel. Other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager and/or the General Manager. Qualifications High School Diploma/ GED and 2 years of related experience, and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong attention to detail. Knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, assembly, etc.) Understanding of
ISO 9001
compliance, IATF is a plus. Ability to use basic measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, and CMM. Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to create graphs and charts. Must be fluent in English and able to communicate with others effectively. Ability to work in a team, flexibility, and Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
